Judicial Commissioner Kristy Tan was appointed Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court on 1 October 2023.
She obtained an LLB (Hons) from the National University of Singapore in 2004 and was called to the Singapore Bar in May 2005. She joined Allen and Gledhill LLP, practising in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, and was made a Partner in 2010. In 2013, she was made an Equity Partner, and was recognised in Benchmark Litigation as a Future Star (Singapore).
In March 2018, Judicial Commissioner Tan moved from private practice to join the Legal Service. She served as Head (Advocacy Group) and (concurrently, since April 2021) Deputy Chief Counsel (Civil Division) at the Attorney-General’s Chambers, conducting litigation in the areas of civil, criminal, and public law and public inquiries. In 2021, she was appointed Senior Counsel.
