Registrar's Circular No. 3 2024

Completion of pilot on hyperlinking written cases filed in specified civil appeals to the Court of Appeal and the Appellate Division of the High Court

Registrar’s Circular No. 4 of 2023 provided for a pilot under which parties to certain civil appeals filed in the Court of Appeal (“CA”) and the Appellate Division of the High Court (“AD”) were required to insert hyperlinks for references made to any core bundle, record of appeal or bundle of authorities in the following documents (collectively described as “written Cases”):

(a) the Appellant’s Case;

(b) the Respondent’s Case; and

(c) the Appellant’s Reply.

2. It is notified that the pilot has ended, and the outcomes of the pilot will be reviewed before a decision is made on further steps. As such, parties to civil appeals which are fixed for hearing in the sittings of the CA and AD from 11 November 2024 onwards are not required to submit hyperlinked written Cases.
