Amendment No. 2 of 2022 (Practice Directions 2021)

Amendment No. 2 of 2022 of the Supreme Court Practice Directions 2021 contains amendments to Parts 3, 4, 8, 9, 14 and 22 and Appendices C of the Supreme Court Practice Directions 2021. The amendments are summarised below:

1. amendments to paragraph 33 on Appointment of agent to establish service bureau;
2. amendments to paragraph 35 on Documents which must be filed, served, delivered
   or otherwise conveyed using the Electronic Filing Service;
3. amendments to paragraph 40 on Filing of documents to the Supreme Court
   through another service bureau;
4. amendments to paragraph 47 on Application;
5. amendments to paragraph 57 on Originating Applications;
6. introduction of new paragraph 68A on Assessment of damages and taking of
   accounts in bifurcated cases;
7. amendments to paragraph 69 on Applications to be heard in open court;
8. amendments to the heading to Part 14 on Proceedings before the Appellate
   Division, the Court of Appeal, the Court of 3 Supreme Court Judges under the
   Legal Profession Act 1966 and appeals to the General Division under the Medical
   Registration Act 1997;
9. introduction of new paragraph 117A on Applications that may be made either to
   the General Division or an appellate Court;
10. amendments to paragraph 167 on Written submissions for criminal appeals and
    other criminal matters before the Court of Appeal and the General Division; and
11. amendments to Appendix C: Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Divisional and Deputy
    Divisional Registrars, and Senior Assistant Registrars.

The amendments will take effect on 1 August 2022 and will be reflected at
https://epd-supcourt-2021.opendoc.gov.sg/ from 1 August 2022.
