Media Release: Special Sitting of Criminal Mentions Court (Court 4A) on Monday, 31 March 2025

In view of the Hari Raya Puasa public holiday, there will be a special sitting of the Criminal Mentions Court on Monday, 31 March 2025, in Court No. 4A.

This special sitting, presided by a District Judge, will enable constitutional and statutory compliance by the investigation agencies to produce all arrested persons before a Magistrate within 48 hours. There will also be a Field Magistrate on duty during this period.

The District Judge on duty will enable arrested persons to be produced before the Court on 31 March 2025 and, where appropriate, for them to be released on bail.

These special arrangements are in furtherance of the State Courts' mission to administer justice.
