Advisory on phone scams and phishing emails, April 2020

The Supreme Court has been notified that members of public have received calls from persons claiming to be our officers, informing them that they have pending cases at the Supreme Court. These are prank calls. Please do not respond to them.

Separately, please do not click on a “secure Sync” link sent from the Supreme Court Registry (from email address kk@sunyouth.jp). These are potential phishing emails.

We take such incidents seriously as they undermine public trust in the courts. Police reports have been lodged on the prank calls and phishing emails.
