Requesting the ICA’s assistance

In proceedings under the Women’s Charter, the Guardianship of Infants Act or the International Child Abduction Act, a court may grant an order or injunction restraining one or both parent(s) or any other party from taking the child out of Singapore without an order of court or the consent of the other or both parent(s).

If you have been granted such an order and intend to seek assistance from the ICA to stop the child from being taken out of Singapore, you must notify the ICA at least 1 working day by providing the ICA with a copy of the court order and a duly completed and signed copy of the following.

For more information on providing the ICA with court orders or injunctions restraining or prohibiting the taking of child out of Singapore, you may refer to Paragraph 10A of the Family Justice Courts Practice Directions 2015 or Paragraph 103 of the Family Justice Courts Practice Directions 2024
